Meet Your Attorney
Laura S. Gaskill joined the firm in May 2021, bringing experience in real estate title, construction, and association litigation. Living in Sarasota with its strong real estate market drew Ms. Gaskill to that area of the law, where she has an extensive background in real estate and title insurance litigation, including lien priority, boundary disputes, fraud and forgery in title instruments, easements and access, non-disclosure and misrepresentation claims, and all aspects of contract disputes. She also works with contractors, company owners, and associations in the areas of construction contract and defect litigation and homeowner and condominium association law.
Ms. Gaskill is a solutions-driven attorney and uses an approach that brings closure for the firm's clients as quickly as possible. Earlier in her career, she advised clients in transactional matters, which gives her a distinctive perspective when representing clients after a transaction has turned into a dispute. From her first meeting with a client or review of a new case, Ms. Gaskill has an eye toward getting clients the most efficient outcome possible. Sometimes extended litigation is the only option, especially with difficult opposing parties, but when possible, Ms. Gaskill uses creative ways to solve clients' problems more quickly and cost-effectively.
Ms. Gaskill is a Sarasota native and active in the community, particularly relating to child advocacy. She has served on the boards of the Sarasota Early Learning Coalition, Child Protection Center, and Sarasota Seminole Club, including a term as its President. She has also served as the Chair of the Sarasota County Bar Association's Real Property Section.
