Jason T. Gaskill founded the Gaskill Law Firm, P.A. in August 2020 after numerous years at a regional law firm, including eight years as the Partner-in-Charge of his prior firm's Sarasota office. His practice focuses primarily on Business and Commercial Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, and Construction Law.
Mr. Gaskill is the former Business Chair of the Sarasota-Bradenton Chapter of BioFlorida, a statewide trade association for innovation in the bioscience industry, and has presented to the Chapter regarding intellectual property protections and funding in the life sciences industry. He was also on the Board of Directors for the Sarasota County Bar Association and has served on boards for charitable organizations in the local area.
Mr. Gaskill handles commercial and complex litigation, as well as matters involving construction, intellectual property and technology and pharmaceutical and medical devices issues. He represents clients in both state and federal courts throughout Florida and counsels companies and individuals in a variety of commercial disputes. They include enforcement and defense of restrictive covenant violations, construction defects, mechanic's lien matters, contract disputes, trade secrets, title insurance defense, real property disputes, and business torts.
Mr. Gaskill achieved his undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He assists clients in evaluating their products, services, and ideas for their innovative ideas and branding. Mr. Gaskill also helps his clients evaluate potential threats to existing intellectual properties and the benefits and pitfalls of pursuing enforcement of infringed rights.
